  New Science Building Appeal
Help us reach our target of £1,000,000
in our 400th anniversary year, by December 31st 2013

Securing £2.79m government funding last June enabled us to start our building work this January 2013 -
We now really need your help to reach our target!

Donating is as easy as 1, 2 or 3...
Monthly Standing Order
This is a really effective way of giving to our Appeal – you can spread your donation, making monthly payments over the course of the project with a set end date up to December 31st 2013:
- Download your
Standing Order Application Form(includes Gift Aid Declaration), print, complete and send to The Finance Office 2013 Appeal, Dame Alice Owen's School, Dugdale Hill Lane, Potters Bar, Hertfordshire EN6 2DU. We will keep a copy of your completed form and forward your instructions to your bank.
Single Payment Donation
The most cost effective way of donating in a single payment is via cheque or cash - every £1 donated helps towards our goal of creating a science building for the future - you can make a single payment donation at any time up until December 31st 2013:
- Send a cheque payable to "Dame Alice Owen's School Fundraising Account" to The Finance Office 2013 Appeal, Dame Alice Owen's School, Dugdale Hill Lane, Potters Bar, Hertfordshire EN6 2DU. If you send a cheque, to increase the value of your donation by 25%, please print and sign the
Gift Aid Form if appropriate and include it with your cheque.
- Donate cash by giving it into our school reception in an envelope addressed to The Finance Office 2013 Appeal. To increase the value of your donation by 25%, please print and sign the
Gift Aid Form if appropriate and put in an envelope with your donation.
- Visit

- If you are not a current parent you will need to set up an online account - click on Fund Raising Events straight away and WisePay will ask you to create an account on a subsequent screen to make a donation.
*Please note: If you choose to pay online by credit card, you will be charged an additional 2.5% commission on your donation. If you choose to pay online by debit card, our school will incur commission charges from our online provider.
Buy a Brick
Why not have your name or dedication on a brick as a lasting legacy of your association with our School? Your brick will be engraved with the words of your choice and used on a display wall in the building. Bricks can be purchased for £250 each. Pay as a single payment donation by cheque/online or by monthly standing order over a specified period of months up until December 31st 2013:

Using Gift Aid to Increase your Donation
At no extra cost to yourself, we can increase your donation by a quarter simply by you signing the Gift Aid Declaration included on the relevant forms or by checking the Gift Aid box online. We really appreciate you increasing your donation in this way.
For every £1.00 donated, the school will receive an extra 25p from the HMRC.
Overseas Donations
If you are living overseas and do not have a UK bank account, you can still make a donation or buy a brick, by arranging a Foreign Payment Order with your bank. For our full bank details, including IBAN and BIC, please email us at accounts@damealiceowens.herts.sch.uk.
Receipts
Please note: If you require a receipt, please make a request to accounts@damealiceowens.herts.sch.uk and we will send confirmation by email.
All donors will be listed in our new building.
