So far this year, we've covered lots of topics:
- Saying hello, goodbye and how we are feeling
- Counting from 0 - 31
- Days, months and dates
- The date today and the date of our birthday
- Some special dates in France
- Our favourite colours
- Telling someone whether or not we have a pet
- Asking questions and giving replies
We learn in different ways:
- We listen to our teacher
- We try and say what she is saying
- We watch videos of real children speaking French in France
- We try to copy them and to work out what we would say to them
- We sing lots of fun songs and do actions
- We play games and do miming
- We do puzzles and match words and pictures
- We try and match written words to the sounds we hear
- We have a go at our own writing
- Some of us go for day visits to France
- We try and fit some French into other topics and activities
- We play French games in rainy playtimes and when we have a few spare minutes in the day.
