Key highlights of the 2012 examination results for Years 11, 12 and 13, as reported by Dr Alan Davison, are as follows:
GCSE results 2012:
We are delighted with another set of outstanding results this year:
- 94.2% of all Year 11 students secured 5 A*-C grades including English and Maths (93% 2011)
- 96% of all Year 11 students secured 5 A*-C grades without English and Maths (96% 2011)
- 34.2% of entries secured an A* grade (35.2% 2011)
- 63.5% of entries secured A* and A grades (68.1% 2011)
A Level results 2012:
We are delighted to confirm that the school secured record A level results again this year:
A2 results as follows:
- 88.5% of all grades awarded A* - B (82.1% 2011)
- 25.2% of all entries awarded an A* (21.3% 2011)
- 37.1% of all entries awarded an A (32% 2011)
- 62.3% in total of all entries awarded A* and A (52.3% 2011)
- 80 of our students secured straight A*s and As (64 2011)
- 100% of all entries secured a pass grade (99.4% 2011)
- 18/21 students with offers have confirmed Oxbridge places (20 in 2011) and the majority of students have secured places at their first choice universities
AS results as follows:
- 54.1% being graded A (54.1% 2011, 44.1% 2010)
- 79.5% A & B grades (78% 2011, 68.9% 2010)
The Governors and Dr A Davison wish to whole-heartedly congratulate all our students for this superb set of A, AS, and GCSE results. Their hard work, and the support of dedicated staff and parents, has ensured a truly outstanding and, well-deserved, outcome - posted September 2012.
