SECONDARY TRANSFER SEPTEMBER 2015

Letters have been sent by the School to all successful applicants and applicants that remain on our waiting list.

Please email the admissions office -admissions@damealiceowens.herts.sch.uk - if you were expecting to receive a letter and have not.

Any movement on the academic, music and distance lists will be regularly updated on this page.  Please use this as your first point of reference and do not call the Admissions Office for this information - this will  enable them to deal with priority calls during this busy time.

As of 5th March 2015 :-
Academic places have been offered  up to and including position 107 Music places have been offered up to and including position 15 The furthest distance  we have been able to offer to under our distance criteria is 632.88 metres from the school gate.

SECONDARY TRANSFER SEPTEMBER 2016

Dates are arranged as follows:

Tuesday 1st September 2015  (English and Mathematics), Wednesday 2nd September 2015 (Musical Aptitude) and Saturday 5th September 2015 (Verbal Reasoning). 

Test dates were first published in October 2014 in order that interested parents can ensure their child’s availability.  Children who are medically unfit on the test day (a medical certificate will be required) or have religious reasons for being unable to attend will be offered one further opportunity to attend.   

PLEASE NOTE WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCOMMODATE CHILDREN  WHOSE HOLIDAY COMMITMENTS CLASH WITH OUR TESTS OR FOR ANY OTHER REASONS THAN THOSE STATED ABOVE.

If you are interested in registering your child for our Entrance Examination and/or Musical Aptitude Tests for Secondary Transfer 2016 you should:-

  • Read our Admissions Arrangements for 2016/17 – these will be available to view on the school website from April 2015.
  • Ensure your child’s permanent address is within one of the Local Priority Areas (detailed below). 
  • Ensure your child is available for the dates of the tests – DATES INDICATED ABOVE.
  • Registration for the tests is from Thursday 7th May - Friday 12th June 2015. Ensure you complete and submit the online Test Registration Form before the closing date. We are unable to accept late test registrations.

Before you register for our Entrance Exam and/or Music Tests please ensure your child’s permanent home address is within one of the listed areas below. Children from outside of these areas are not eligible to be considered under these criteria and therefore cannot take our tests.
