Entry to the Sixth Form

We warmly welcome applications from external candidates to join our Sixth Form.

Our Admissions process starts by inviting Year 11 external candidates and their parents to our Sixth Form Open Afternoon in November. The programme consists of tours of the school, a talk by the Head of the Sixth Form and an opportunity to talk to subject teachers. Details of the afternoon appear on this website under our timeline.

Timeline for applicants for September 2011:

Open Afternoon:
Wednesday 17th November 2010
2-3pm School Tours
3pm Talk by Mr Matt Ewins, Head of the Sixth Form
4pm Subject teachers available for discussion

Applications to be submitted by:
Friday 17th December 2010
Student meetings/Ongoing application process:


February/March 2011*
Conditional offers of places:
Letters sent by the end of the Spring Term 2011


*Please note not all students will be invited to the school to discuss their applications further

For your information, the Sixth Form Guide to Courses, subject choice form and application form for 2011/12 will be available for you to view/print on this website from November 17th. Hard copies of the application form and subject choice form will be also be made available during the Open Afternoon if required.
