Higher Education
University Applications
As an external candidate, you will be looking forward to continuing your education after your GCSE's with a view to improving your prospects in terms of application to Higher Education. We have an excellent track record of assisting students’ applications to some of the most prestigious universities and courses, including Oxbridge and Medicine. Virtually all our students progress to University education, with exceptions being those taking gap years or Art Foundation courses and all students are offered the same level of support, regardless of their proposed destinations.
In deciding whether to come to our Sixth Form for one of the courses outlined in our Guide to Courses, you should be considering your own strengths and aptitudes and your likely chances of success in the subjects we offer in our Sixth Form.
Careers Advice
We also have a dedicated Careers Advisor, our Sixth Form Manager, Mrs C Whiter, who assists students in Year 11 and our Sixth Form with their choices. She is supported by Mrs S Pott. See our Careers section for more details. Sixth Formers studying languages are offered the opportunity to take work experience abroad in Year 12.
